CREATIVE PROCESS:
Moodboard: I use a moodboard at the start of the work as it is an essential tool for capturing and communicating the visual and emotional essence of the project. It allows me to materialize and share my vision by gathering images, colors, textures, and elements that together form a clear guide for creative development.
Sketch: The composition sketch is crucial as it serves as the first visual drafts to organize and structure the project's elements. It allows exploring different layouts and interactions among components, ensuring harmony and balance before committing to finer details. This preliminary step helps visualize the overall concept, identify potential design issues, and adjust the approach before investing time and resources in the final development.
Colour Palette: The colour palette is the next crucial step in the design process. It involves selecting an appropriate range of colours that reflect the atmosphere and character of the project. This step is fundamental, as the chosen colours determine not only the visual aesthetics but also evoke specific emotions and strengthen the project's identity. A well-designed palette ensures visual coherence and creates an emotional connection with the target audience.
Coloured Composition: At the next stage, the selected colour palette is used on a previous sketch to create a coloured composition. This approach aims to harmonize the elements visually and emotionally.
Storyboard: At this stage, once we already have the colour palette and the image composition, it's time to plan our animation, i.e., storyboarding. This involves creating a series of drawings that describe each scene and movement, detailing the narrative and visual sequence of the animation. This process is essential for visualizing the final flow of the story, synchronizing the visual elements with the script, and ensuring consistency before production.
RESULTS:
Successfully crafted a magical and uplifting animation that could be displayed as wall art and shared across social media platforms. The project seamlessly combined the client's love for magical themes with their need for an inspiring, personalized art piece.
